Enrolment at Te Kura O Take Kārara is governed by an enrolment scheme. Please refer to our enrolment scheme and home zone on our website. If the Te Kura O Take Kārara Board of Trustees determines space is available, the school will invite out of zone applications for available places via the school website.
The enrolment scheme means that children from families who live inside the zone have the right to be enrolled at our school. All other enrolments will be subject to enrolment scheme legislation. The order of priority for the selection of students who live outside Te Kura O Take Kārara’s School zone are:
1st Priority: Students accepted for enrolment in a special programme run by the school and approved by the Secretary of Education. We have no such programmes so this priority would not apply to our school.
2nd Priority: Brothers and sisters of current students.
3rd Priority: Brothers and sisters of former students.
4th Priority: Children of former students.
5th Priority: Children of Board employees or children of Board members.
6th Priority: All other students.
If there are more applicants in priority groups than there are places available, selection within the priority group must be made by ballot.
Te Kura O Take Kārara Board of Trustees has identified space for about 10 out of zone enrolments and is unlikely to have spaces beyond priority 2.
Expressions of interest must be submitted via this form.
Confirmation of enrolment outcomes will be communicated at least 1 term prior to the commencement of the student’s start date.
